Welcome

Thank you for visiting Play Casino War!

Everyone knows of the card game of war or played the game as a child. It is the simplest card game you can play. Who's card is higher? Mine or yours. When you tied, you go to war.

That's the extraordinarily condensed explanation of this casino game, but there isn't a whole lot more substantial going on in Casino War.

Many walk in casinos don't offer Casino, simply because the more popular casino games such as blackjack, roulette, craps and slots garner so much more attention. You will find Casino War being played in most Las Vegas casinos, though.

It's a different story as far as online casino war is concerned. The majority of online casinos offer casino war. This is partially because the game is so easy to create the program. Another major factor is that there is about a 2.9% house advantage.

Here is something for those you who are looking for the best online casinos that offer war

Other factors that this game has become a staple at online casinos is the ease and speed of playing. Casino War is much faster to play a hand then most other games.

It is interesting to note that many online casinos use the same software. You can take a look at the different casino war software here.

Casino War

For those of you who have never played this game before, you can play casino war for free here. You can also find out a little bit about the history of the game.

Generally, casino war is played with 6 decks it is safe to assume that what the online casinos do, that is what the best Microgaming casinos do for sure. The cards are ranked the same as poker, with Aces always being the highest card. The suits do not have any bearing on the game.

Gameplay

Playing casino war online is very simple. The first thing you must do is make a bet. In some versions of Casino War, you will also be allowed to bet that the two cards will be the same value or tie. The payout for betting on ties is 10 to 1.

Once you have made you bets, you press the deal button and two cards will be flipped over. If your card is higher, you win the bet. The dealer wins if his card is higher.

In case of a tie, you have the option to surrender your hand and concede your bet or you can go to war and place a second bet equal to your first. If you surrender, you will receive half of your original bet back.

This screenshot shows your option to fold and lose half your bet or go to war and make a 2nd bet.

You can see that this is the one place that you will have a decision to make. The odds are generally better overall if you go to war each time, but don't let that ruin your gut reactions. The only problem with folding is that you probably won't know if you would have won.

The downside with having the war to begin with is that you do not win the same amount you bet. You are not being paid out on your second bet. In fact, the risk is that you lose two bets with the chance of only winning on one bet.

That's it, there is your gameplay. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Casino War Betting Strategy

My betting strategy in casino war is pretty much the same as most other 50/50 betting games. There is one of two basic ways to do this:

The first method will usually do good, but occasionally go very bad. This is a betting system that involves levels and units.

A unit is the amount your are first betting, say $5 in this case. A level is the amount of units you are betting. Level 3 would be a $15 bet.

Here is the betting level progression: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 30. The progression scale goes both ways, regardless whether you win or lose your first bet, you go on to level 2. The progression scale is staggered so that an even number of wins and loses doesn't equal no winnings.

When you lose, you add a level to the progression chart if you are down overall or subtract a level when you are up overall. When you win, you add a level if you are winning overall and subtract a level if you are losing overall.

The time things can go wrong is if you hit a cold streak of 8 or more in a row. Now this doesn't happen very often, but it can happen. The best thing to do when it does is to move down a couple of levels and start a new base.  For more casino game guides you can check out online-casinoguide.org,

The second method is much simpler in nature. This involves doing whatever betting pattern you like until you are winning. You will have to find your own way of digging out of a losing hole.

Once you are winning, you bet 1/3 of the amount that you are up. If you get up by enough money, set a base scale so that you can keep some of your winnings aside. Then bet 1/3 of the rest of the money you are up.

The good thing about betting this way is that you don't have to remember what you should bet each time.

Casino War Odds

If there was no tie, there would be no house edge in Casino War. Because of the tie, players have to make a decision whether to automatically lose half their bet or possibly lose two times their bet for a one bet return. This is what gives the casino a 2.9% advantage.

The chance of the two cards tying is about 7.5% or about 1 in 13 hands. The house advantage for the 10 to 1 payout on a tie bet is about 18.5%. This is why you shouldn't bet on the tie hand. This is often used as a sucker bet and is not offered by all online casinos like Slots Galore Casino.

You are actually favored by 5% when you go to war. This is because you will win on a second tie. This is one of the factors why casinos don't pay out on the second bet and also why you should always go to war.

More Online Games

There is a very limited amount of strategy and tips to give you for playing casino war. If you would like to play a more popular online game, I would suggest poker, blackjack or craps. Choosing rakeback offers is not so important for high stakes online poker players. Here are good places to play a black jack game or craps online for fun.
